What? - Quoi ?
The French National Day is the anniversary of the Bastille's storming on July 14, 1789. It was a turning point of the French Revolution since the Bastille Jail symbolized the absolute power of the king. It is usually celebrated with fireworks and a big military parade on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, in front of the President and other dignitaries.
